Health insurance for 2027: choose before the deadline, not after.
If you buy your own health insurance, open enrollment is your yearly chance to change plans. Premiums, networks and the help you qualify for can all change, so a review is worth a short call even if you plan to keep what you have.

Before you call
What if I miss open enrollment?
You generally need a qualifying life event, such as losing other coverage, moving, getting married or having a baby, to enroll later. Medicaid and KCHIP are open all year for people who qualify.
I like my plan. Should I still review it?
Yes. Premiums, networks and the help you qualify for can change from year to year. A review takes a short call, and keeping your plan is a fine outcome.
Is there a cost to review my options?
No. Plan premiums are the same whether you enroll through an agent or on your own.
